Pirbright Village

Cunningham House's location in the heart of Pirbright village makes it ideally placed for residents to participate in the many and varied clubs and societies offered locally, in addition to the activities within the house. This can be a particular advantage to residents from further afield who do not have an established local social network. The village is a vibrant community that further extends the friendly environment on which Cunningham House prides itself.

Pirbright offers excellent transport links. By road there is easy access to the A3, M3 (Junction 3), and M25 (Junction 11). By rail, Brookwood station is within walking distance (0.7 miles) and provides regular trains to London Waterloo (approx 35mins). There is also a regular bus service to Guildford and Woking.

Pirbright has its own dispensing doctor's surgery, an active church community, two pubs serving food, and a traditional village green and duck pond. All these are within a few minutes walk of Cunningham House.

Clubs and Societies include:

  • Pirbright Players (amateur dramatics society presenting regular productions)
  • Pirbright Horticultural Society (monthly meetings, talks and outings, annual show)
  • Pirbright Singers (mixed amateur group singing for church festivals, weddings, funerals and parish events)
  • Church Craft group
  • Exercise classes for the elderly
  • Indoor Bowls Club
  • Rawlins club (dedicated to the over sixties, monthly meetings and a varied calendar of talks, lunches and coach outings)
